The latest makeover of the Jordan Legacy 312 sees the fusion design take on a fall-friendly “Light Khaki/Medium Olive/Team Red” color palette. At first glance, the pair shares similarities to the PSG Jordan Legacy 312 Low, but a thorough inspection reveals a different-enough offering.
Leather construction across the upper opts for a light brown tone that sets the stage for a number of autumnal flair. Branding and plastic lace loops deviate from their surroundings in shades of “Medium Olive,” with the boldest shade arriving in the form of the profile swooshes. Elephant print transplanted from Tinker Hatfield’s Air Jordan 3 is given a tonal makeup that blends in with the “Light Khaki” upper. Underfoot, the hybrid sole unit favors a relatively-understated aesthetic, but outsoles round out the ensemble in deep “Team Red” flavor.
What is the story behind Jordan Legacy 312?
The 312 is a tribute to Chicago that’s equally inspired by MJ and today’s multi-faceted youth. Its name references the 312 area code of the city, as well as the shoe’s juxtaposition of the Air Jordan 1 and 3. “I wanted the Jordan Legacy 312 to have the sole of the Jordan 3, because to me, that shoe is the foundation of the brand”, Don explains. “The 1s and the 2s were Nikes first.
